Grocery shopping online – who offers the best deal

Pushing a trolley around the local supermarket has never been my idea of fun, so shopping online has always appealed to me. Obviously there are a lot of people who agree as online grocery shopping is growing fast, but which supermarket offers the best deal.

Tesco

Delivery times - 9am - 11pm Monday to Friday

- 9am - 8pm Saturday

- 10am - 3pm Sunday

Two hourly slots

Delivery charge - £3 - £6 depending on chosen delivery time

Changing delivery time - Up to 10pm on the day before deliver

Sainsbury's

Delivery times - 9am - 11pm Monday to Friday

- 9am - 8pm Saturday

- 10am - 10pm Sunday

One hourly slots

Delivery charge - Orders under £40 - £6.95 standard charge

- Orders over £40 - £2.75 - £5.95 depending on chosen delivery time

- Orders over £100 free on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday

Changing delivery time - Up to 11pm on the day before delivery

Waitrose

Delivery times - 9am - 10pm Monday to Friday

- 9am - 8pm Saturday

- 11am - 4pm Sunday

Delivery charge - Free (minimum order value £50)

Changing delivery time - Up to 11.45am on the day before delivery

Asda

Delivery times - 10am - 10pm  - 7 days a week (7am - 10pm if you live near a larger store)

Delivery charge - £2.50 - £5.50 (minimum order value £40)

Changing delivery time - Up to 10pm the day before delivery

Ocado

Delivery times - 6.30pm - 11.30pm - 7 days a week

One hourly slots

Delivery charge - zero - £6.99 depending on chosen delivery time (minimum order value £40)
