Who is Privilege insurance
Privilege is part of the Direct Line Insurance Group which also owns the Churchill insurance brand. Unlike the other Direct Line brands, Privilege policies do appear on comparison sites.
Privilege car insurance policies
Privilege car insurance offers four car insurance policy types and they are:
Third Party Fire and Theft
A Third Party Fire and Theft car insurance policy will cover the policyholder for damage to another person’s car or property caused while driving your car. Any injury to a third party caused by an accident will also be covered as will your own car if it is damaged by fire or stolen
Comprehensive
In addition to the cover offered under Third Party Fire and Theft policy, the Comprehensive car insurance policy covers damage to your own car and offers a level of personal accident cover.
Comprehensive Plus
This policy is similar to the cover offered under the Comprehensive car insurance policy but with higher limits and some added extras, these are clarified later in this article.
DriveXpert
It all works using the DriveXpert app on your smartphone. The easy to use telemetrics plug-in monitors a range of environmental and behavioural factors to work out how safe a driver you are. It then assigns you a driving score.
This driving score will be used when calculating your renewal premiums.

Summary
Privilege car insurance is part of the same group that owns Direct Line and Churchill car insurance, however, it is the only car insurance provider of the three that appear on comparison sites such as MoneySuperMarket.
