How to save money eating out with children this school holiday

A number of restaurants and shops are advertising free meals for kids and discounted children's food this school holiday as parents continue to struggle with the rise in the cost of living.

In this article, we share some of the places you can eat for free or at a low cost throughout the year and this school holidays. We update this page each school holiday, so ensure you bookmark it to always stay up to date with the latest kids eat free deals.

Where can kids eat for free this school holidays?

Ask Italian

Order one adult main at Ask Italian and you can get up to 2 kids meals for free when ordering from the kids menu. They recommend the kids menus are suitable for up to 10 years old. This deal is available from 22nd May to 31st May through the ASK Perks Rewards App and can be used multiple times but only once per day. Angus Steakhouse

Children under 8 can eat for free every day from 12pm to 5pm. Children have to be with an adult paying full price for a main meal. This deal is not available on Saturdays in the Bond Street and Oxford Circus branches. For more information visit the Angus Steakhouse website.

Bella Italia

Children aged 11 and under can eat for free when an adult purchases a main meal. They will get 3 courses and a drink and the offer runs from Sunday to Thursday. There are certain locations such as Center Parcs not participating in this deal so it is best to check the Bella Italia website.

Beefeater & Brewers Fayre

Two children under 16 eat free with a full-paying adult when ordering breakfast at a Beefeater or Brewers Fayre. The adult's breakfast is unlimited and is priced at £10.99. Find out more and search for your local Beefeater or Brewers Fayre.

Bill's

Up to 2 children can eat for free with one full-paying adult ordering a main dish at Bill's. The deal is available all day Monday to Friday from 25th to 29th May. The children must be 10 or under and have to order from the Kids Menu. More information can be found on the Bill's website.

Blend Family Food Halls

This half-term children aged 10 and under can eat for free with the purchase of an adult meal at Blend Family Food Halls. The deal is available Sunday to Friday from 12pm to 5pm. The free kids meal varies depending on the food stall the adult meal is purchased from. Find your nearest Blend Food Hall here.

Brewdog

Kids aged 13 and under can enjoy a free kids main meal when an adult purchases a main meal at Brewdog. In order to qualify for the offer the table must be booked using the KIDS EAT FREE code and there is a maximum booking limit of 8 people. There is also the option to upgrade to a "Hoppy Meal" for £2 and you will then get a side and drink. The offer is running from 23rd to 31st May, but the dates vary depending on your location. Unfortunately it is not available in the following venus: Dublin, Gatwick Airport, Waterloo Arms, Edinburgh Waverley and Upminster. Find out more on Brewdog's website.

Burger King

Kids can get a King JR Meal for free with a qualifying adult meal from 22nd to 29th May when ordering at participating restaurants. The order must be made through the Burger King App and more details can be found on the Burger King website.

CÔTE Brassiere

You can get one kid's meal (two courses) for free when you purchase a main course from the à la carte or if an adult dines from the set menu . Alternatively you can get a kid's breakfast for free when you buy an adult hot breakfast at Côte this half term. The offer is available from 25th to 29th May only through the Côte Brassiere app. For more information visit Côte's website.

Dunelm - Pausa Cafe

You can get one free Kids Meal (drink, main and 2 snacks) for every £4 spent at Pausa Cafe in Dunelm. The offer is available all day, every day. Visit Pausa Cafe to find out more.

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants

Children under 10 can have a free main meal from the Kids Menu at Gordon Ramsay Restaurants when an adult purchases 2 courses (one must be a main) from the a la carte menu. The deal is available every day but not on weekends at BSK Battersea Power Station, BSK City, BSK Edinburgh and Bar & Grill Mayfair restaurants. Heathrow airport

Children under 12 can eat for free at Heathrow airport between 25th and 31st May. The offer applies when an adult chooses an item from the main menu that is over £14.95 and there is a maximum of 4 free children meals per table. Participating restaurants vary depending on the terminal you are flying from but the family-friendly Giraffe is one of the restaurants taking part in the promotion and is located in Terminals 3 and 5. Las Iguanas

Children under 12 can eat for free at Las Iguanas throughout the year with the Las Iguanas App. With every adult main from the a la carte menu, you can claim a free kids meal consisting of a main, 2 sides and a drink. Morrisons

1 child eats free with 1 adult's main meal (min £5.00 spend). The children's meal includes a choice of main, side and drink. Click to find out more on the Morrisons website.

PizzaExpress

This half-term, kids under 12 can get a free Piccolo meal with the purchase of an adult main (minimum £15 spend applies). The Piccolo meal consists of dough balls, a pizza, pasta or salad, a dessert and a Bambinoccino. The offer is available every day from 23rd to 28th May when dining in at PizzaExpress and can't be used in conjunction with any other promotion except for the MegaTeen Saver deal where you can get a Classic pizza and a soft drink for £12. Pizza Hut

You can get one Kids Unlimited Lunchtime Buffet for free when you spend £9.99 on food at Pizza Hut Restaurants. The offer is available everyday from 22nd to 31st May until 3pm and you must book with the code KEF. There is also the option to pay £2 and also get unlimited soft drinks and ice cream with the code KEF2.

After 3pm if you book with the code KEF you can claim a free Kids Meal Deal. This consists of a bottomless drink, unlimited salad, a Kids's Main and a dessert.

Premier Inn

2 children under 16 can eat breakfast for free with any full-paying adult ordering a Premier Inn breakfast or Meal Deal. The best bit, you don't need to be a guest at the hotel so if you have a Premier Inn near you, you can just pop along to take advantage of this offer. Adult breakfasts start at £10.99, further information can be found at Premier Inn.

The Real Greek

One child under 12 can eat free with any adult that spends at least £15 in one of The Real Greek's restaurants (£15 spend can't be on Lunch menu, Party menu and Filoxenia). The offer includes a meal from the kids' menu, a drink and ice cream or sorbet and is valid from 25th to 31st May. This deal also runs on Sundays outside of the school holidays. Tesco

Kids eat free this school holiday at Tesco when an adult buys any item from Tesco Café. The offer is available to Clubcard holders Monday to Friday. If you need more than 1 free kids meal you simply need to make another purchase of an adult food item or drink. You can choose from a kids hot meal, breakfast or Pick 'N' Mix deal. Yo! Sushi

One child under 12 can have a free kids meal deal Bento box at Yo! Sushi with an adult spending at least £10. The offer is available Monday to Friday "during your local school holidays" so it may be worth ringing to check it is running before you go. For the full terms head to the Yo! Sushi website.

Zizzi

With every adult main meal purchased you can get a free "Bambini" meal (3 courses and a drink) at Zizzi as long as you are a member of the Zillionaire's Club. The deal is available Sunday to Friday from 24th to 31st May including the Bank Holiday Monday. You can take advantage of this offer every 24 hours and for a maximum of 6 free "Bambini" meals per table. You will need to sign up to the Zillionaire's Club to obtain a code to qualify for the deal. Certain locations are not accepting the voucher code on days an event is taking place, for example, Wembley on 26th, 28th, 30th and 31st May and Manchester Exchange on 27th and 30th May, so we recommend checking Zizzi's website for the full T&C's. Where can kids eat for £1 this school holidays?

Asda

Children under 16 can eat for £1 from the Asda café children's menu. There is a maximum of 1 meal per child per day and the offer is valid all year round.

Asda also offers a free Ella's baby food pouch with any purchase for children under 18 months. Locate your nearest Asda here.

Dobbies

You can get 1 kids meal for £1 per adult main course or 1 kids breakfast for £1 with an adult's traditional or full breakfast. A child's drink is also included. The offer is available every day up until 3pm but isn't available in all their garden centres. Click to find out more about the Dobbies kids eat free offer. There is a £1 supplement for a kid's roast dinner on a Sunday.

Harvester

If you have the Harvester app and join the Flavour Fan Club, you can buy a main dish from the Smaller bites, Bigger Appetites or the Kids breakfast menu for £1 with the purchase of an adult main meal. You will also get access to the unlimited salad bar and can add a dessert for £2. The offer is valid for children under 12 years old and can be used for up to 4 children and 4 adults. If you really wanted to, you can use the voucher 3 times a day but you must download a code, screenshots are not accepted!! The offer is running from Monday to Friday until 31st May. Hungry Horse

Kids can eat for £1 or £1.50 this half-term from the kid's menu at Hungry Horse pubs and up to 2 children can eat with a full paying adult. The deal runs all day so can be used for breakfast as well and includes a drink. The promotion is running from Monday 25th May to Friday 29th May, but the dates the deal is available vary depending on your location, so you will need to check with the venue you are wanting to eat at. IKEA

Children can get a bowl of pasta with tomato sauce for 95p at IKEA restaurants. You must have an IKEA family membership which is free to apply for.

Marston's Pubs

With the purchase of one adult main meal you can get a kids main meal for £1 at selected Martston's Pubs this half-term. This offer is not valid on the Bank Holiday Monday and it is best to check your local Marston's Pub is participating in the deal.

Sizzling Pubs

Children can get a kid's main meal for £1 with every purchase of an adult main meal from 12pm from Monday to Friday at Sizzling Pubs. Outside of the school holidays this deal runs every Monday. For more information, take a look at the Sizzling Pubs website and find your nearest Sizzling Pub here.

Sainsbury's

Get a children's hot main meal or lunch bag for £1 with the purchase of a hot adult main meal from £5.20. Available everyday from 11:30am until Café closure. More information can be found on the Sainsbury's Cafe menu.

Travelodge

Up to 2 children aged 15 and under can have breakfast at Travelodge for £1 with any full-paying adult. You do not need to be an overnight guest at the hotel to take advantage of this offer. Find out more on the Travelodge website.
