Most mobile phones these days come complete with a camera which is great for snapping those every day events. However, have you ever thought of using your mobile to help organise your life?

Here are a few ideas that may help make your life easier.

Receipts

When you go shopping you may come back with a handful of receipts most of which you should keep, as you may have to get a refund or exchange for the item purchased. Instead of stuffing these receipts in a drawer why not take a photo of them instead and then create an album for each retailer used. If you need to return an item you can just print off the receipt or take the photo to the store, as many will accept this as proof of purchase.

To do lists/shopping list

Although most mobile phones have a list function built in many of us still write these out on paper, so why not keep a record by taking a photo. You can also then email this list to a partner or work colleague if needed.

Meeting notes

When you need to make notes at a meeting why not photograph these at the end of the meeting, then put them in an album so that you have a permanent record rather than several bits of paper that are liable to be misplaced.

Recipes

How many times have you seen a good recipe in a magazine, torn it out and then forget where you put it. Why not take a photo of it and create an album of recipes.

Shopping

You see a new dress in the magazine, take a photo. Need another tin of paint to finish off the hallway then photograph the tin so you get the right brand and colour. See a dress in a shop and want to check if it's cheaper online just take a photo of the label which will show the stock number. Plus Amazon's iphone app is able to price check anything you can take a picture helping you buy the item cheaper online - genius.

Parking

When you visit a car park you are not familiar with then it's easy to forget where you parked. So take a photo of the bay and row number then you will never lose your car again.

Business cards

Instead of cluttering up your desk drawer with business cards just photograph them as you get them, then you will have permanent record in your pocket. Apps such as camcard will even automatically convert the photo into a contact in your phone. Beautiful

Instructions

How many times have you searched for instructions when you need to fix a household item, bet you wish took a photograph of them.

Passport/travel documents

When going on holiday take a photo of your passport, then if you lose it this will help you secure a replacement more easily. This also applies to travel documents as losing these can really spoil your holiday.
