Get an answer to your financial question online Reader Question:

I will be 65 on 28th March 2015 will I qualify for new flat rate pension?

My Response:

The new flat rate state pension is still very much in the proposal stage. Initially plans were for it to be in place for those reaching state pension age after 2015-2016.

That would mean that you could be on the cusp of qualifying. But, as I said this is all up in the air at the moment so watch this space as things have yet to be confirmed and the goal posts may well be moved.

I hope that helps

Best Wishes
