Now this blog tries to avoid politics where possible but the fact remains that there is an election just around the corner, the outcome of which will impact on your finances and your life generally. So your vote is vitally important, but have you decided who to vote for?

Well I might be able to help. I stumbled upon a useful tool on The Telegraph's website whereby you answer a series of yes/no questions and it will match your views on the issues most important to you with each political party's policies. If nothing else it might stimulate you to start thinking about May 6th.
