E-readers such as Kindle and Kobo devices and ebooks have revolutionised the publishing industry. Not only can consumers buy ebooks over the internet through a number of eBook suppliers, but authors can now self-publish without the need for backing from an established publishing house. Just like I did with my Kindle book 'The 30 Day Money Plan: Take control of your finances in just 5 minutes a day' which even featured in The Times newspaper's Top 10 Summer money beach reads.
4 Ways to get ebook deals easily
Not only can you get bestsellers cheaper if you buy the ebook versions but you can enjoy the next budding Stephen King's offering for less than £1. But the problem is finding free and discounted ebook suggestions to source your next read easily.
1. Kindle Unlimited Amazon
Kindle Unlimited gives you access to over a million reads including magazines and audiobooks which can be read on any device via the Kindle App so you may not even need an e-reader device. The service usually costs £7.99 per month but there is a current deal offering 3 months of free Kindle Unlimited subscription for Amazon Prime members after which you would pay the £7.99 per month to continue accessing it (deal valid until the 13th of July 2022). Look out for the daily £1 deals from Amazon and free ebooks selection which you can access without a prime membership.
2. Rakuten Kobo
With a rewards program that lets you earn points to redeem against future reads and a VIP membership that boosts the value of the points you earn, Kobo offers a range of ways to buy ebooks and audiobooks at a cut price. Kobo includes a range of 99p bestselling ebooks to choose from as well as daily deals and free ebooks. The site also gives users access to e-readers and reading apps for Apple, Android and Kobo devices.
3. Apple Books
Apple Books gives users access to a range of ebooks and audiobooks with the added advantage of setting reading goals and monitoring this. Great for people who are challenging themselves to read more and for parents encouraging children to make more time for reading. Apple Books offers read of the day at a discounted price and a number of audiobooks at special offer prices as well as a free read of the week.
4. Bookbub
Bookbub, the US-based ebook daily deal site, launched in the UK. Hugely successful in the US, you simply register your email address and the genre of ebooks you like to read and Bookbub will send you regular emails of free or discounted ebooks which might interest you. What's even better, is it includes links to retail sites where you can download the book, such as Amazon and check out the reviews.
Great cheap or even free, ebooks, kindle books and audiobooks suited to your tastes - what's there not to like about that?
