Barclays mortgage review

Barclays has launched a new incentive for customers switching their banking and savings, offering a potential cashback reward of up to £1,000. The offer provides up to £400 for switching your current account to Barclays Premier and up to a further £600 for transferring existing ISA savings. While this makes it one of the most generous switching packages currently available, to be eligible for a Barclays Premier account, you must be able to pay a gross annual income of £75,000 into the account or have at least £100,000 deposited with Barclays. The offer is available for switches initiated between 17th February and 30th April 2026.

How to get the £400 Barclays switch offer

If you are able to pay in a gross annual salary of at least £75,000 into your current account or who have at least £100,000 in savings or investments with Barclays you may be eligible for a higher bonus for switching.

To be eligible for the £400 switch offer you must:

  • Be 18 or above and a UK resident
  • Open a new sole Barclays Premier Current Account (joint accounts aren't eligible) via the Barclays app and start your switch via the Barclays app
  • Pay in a gross annual salary of at least £75,000 or have at least £100,000 in savings or investments with Barclays
  • Deposit a minimum of £4,000 within 30 days of opening the account
  • Initiate a full current account switch before 30th April 2026 and complete the switch within 30 days
  • Ensure you're not switching an existing Barclays account (it must be a different bank)
  • Not have opened any Barclays Current Account on or before the 17th February 2026. This includes, but isn’t limited to, a Barclays Bank Account, Student/Graduate Account, or a Premier Current Account
  • Not have received a Barclays switching offer reward before

If you complete all of these steps and meet the eligibility criteria, you should receive your bonus payment within 28 working days.

You can find out more about the £400 Switch offer on the Barclays website.

How to get the additional £600 ISA bonus

In addition to the current account switch offer, eligible customers can earn up to £600 by transferring their existing cash ISAs to Barclays. This part of the offer is open to both new and existing Barclays current account holders and Barclays Premier Current Account holders.

The cash reward you receive depends on the total value of the ISAs you transfer, as well as the type of Barclays current account you hold.

Total amount transferred Reward (Barclays current account holders) Reward (Premier account holders)
£10,000 - £24,999 £50 £50
£25,000 - £49,999 £100 £100
£50,000 - £99,999 £150 £150
£100,000+ £200 £600

To receive the reward, you need to have completed all of the following by 30th April 2026:

  • Have a Barclays current or Barclays Premier Current Account
  • Have a fixed-term flexible cash ISA with Barclays
  • Use the Barclays ISA transfer-in service to move your existing ISA(s) into your Barclays cash ISA

Your reward will then be paid into your Barclays current account or Barclays Premier current account within 60 business days after 30th April 2026.

You can find out more about the £600 ISA transfer offer on the Barclays website.
