Animal Friends offers two lifetime policies with different levels of cover: Annual policy limit with cover up to £5,000 or Annual condition limit with cover up to £6,000. Its Annual policy limit provides cover up to the agreed amount each year and once that limit is reached the remaining amount will need to be self-funded until the annual limit renews. Its Annual condition limit cover provides cover up to the agreed amount per condition per year, once the limit is reached the remaining amount will need to be self-funded until the annual limit renews.
- Maximum Benefit - This cover will insure your pet for a set amount with no time limit. However, once the limit is reached it does not renew and any additional claims will need to be self-funded. - Standard horse insurance - This time-limited policy provides cover for horses from 1 month to 20 years old. You can choose to cover each condition up to £6,000 for up to 12 months and there is an option to add extras such as public liability cover, cover for tack and loss by theft or straying.

Animal Friends has a vast choice of pet insurance policies meaning you are bound to find one that suits your needs. Animal Friends offers a good range of cover for a reasonable price and there is the added bonus of knowing that you are donating to Animal Welfare charities when you take out a policy.
The addition of the Joii 24/7 veterinary advice app means that you could save money on veterinary consultation fees as it enables you to see a vet in order to query minor problems with your pet. Overall, I think Animal Friends offers a good pet insurance product but as with all insurance policies, it is imperative you read the small print to fully understand what is covered in your policy.
